Waste Disposal Methods

  • General Waste: Volume-based waste bags
  • Recyclable Waste: Should be disposed of in clear waste bags or PP bags for each type or bundled up with strings.
  • Large Waste: Should be disposed of after reporting to eup or myeon office.
  • Large Home Appliances: Call Center (1599-0903), Collected on Saturday (Small home appliances will be collected without charge if they are disposed of with large home appliances)
  • Fluorescent Lamps & Batteries: Should be disposed of in designated fluorescent lamp and battery bins.
  • Plastic Film and Empty Pesticide Bottles from Farms: Collected by the Korea Environment Corporation
  • Food Waste
    • Separated Houses → Food waste should be disposed of in designated locations after attaching an electronic chip to designated containers or should be disposed in a food waste weighing bin nearby.
    • Apartments → Food waste should be disposed of in designated locations after attaching an electronic chip to designated containers or should be disposed in a food waste weighing bin (The cost of food waste containers will be included in the apartment maintenance fee).

Recyclable Materials

  • Paper: Newspapers, books, paper, cardboard boxes, calendars, packaging paper, etc.
  • Bottles and Cans: Beverage bottles, liquor bottles, drink bottles, aluminum cans, regular cans, etc.
  • Scrap Metal: Tools, iron wire, iron plates, lead, aluminum, stainless steel, copper, etc.
  • Plastics: Various beverage bottles, cooking oil bottles, PET bottles, yogurt bottles, etc.
  • Styrofoam: Clean Styrofoam without any foreign substances.
  • Vinyl: Packaging film (snack and ramen bags, single-use shampoo and conditioner packaging, refillable packaging with recycling symbols, etc.).

Non-Recyclable Materials

  • Scrap Metal: Items with rubber or plastic attached.
  • Styrofoam: Styrofoam contaminated with foreign substances.
  • Others: Items that do not melt under heat, such as bags, shoes, blankets, buttons, trays, etc.
