Overview

Here, you can find the tombs of the ruling class of the ancient kingdom of Bihwa Gaya which existed 1,600 years ago. The tall mounds at the foot of Hwawangsan Mountain create a fantastic landscape. The place provides insights into the history and culture of Gaya, which are difficult to uncover through written records. This site, along with six other Gaya Tumuli clusters, has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
