Bakjin Battle Memorial Hall
Address : 27 Wolsang-gil. Namji-eup, Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do

This is a memorial ground built in 2003 to honor the services of the Bakjin Battle,

which was the final defense line of the Nakdong River front line during the Korean War.

The BakJin War was the ground of battle at BakJin naru for about two months since August 6, 1950, where the US 2ID and 24ID overcame the fierce combat with North Korea’s 4th Division, allowing the allied forces to counterattack across Nakdong River. Its historical meaning is great, as it became the decisive turning point that eventually led to the success of Incheon Landing Operations and pushing up to Aprok River.

The internal exhibition corner of the memorial, built to commemorate the patriots that sacrificed their lives for their nation and the victory of Bakjin Battle, is divided into themes of 「War Breaks Out」, 「To South Towards Freedom」, 「Nakdong River, the Final Holding Line」, 「Combat Equipment of N. Korea and S. Korea」, 「Diary of the Bloody Battle」, 「Sorrow at 38th Parallel」, and 「After the War」. In the center of the memorial lies an abridged model acting as a panorama to the situation of Bakjin Battle at that time, along with a theater that plays a documentary film.
