Geographically, Changnyeong falls within the region that is appropriate for sweet persimmon farming. Sweet persimmons produced here go through significant temperature variations and they are known for their crisp texture and diverse varieties.
Changnyeong is considered one of the top five emerging major production areas nationwide, following Changwon, Jinju, and Gimhae. Changnyeong’s sweet persimmons are rich in organic compounds and they are dense, crisp and sweet, which is why they are highly favored by consumers.
